Polaroid’s back in the instant photo business
Polaroid made its name back in the day by making cameras that printed the photos immediately, during a time when instant photos meant waiting for 40 minutes while your roll of film developed. The appeal of Polaroid’s cameras have obviously waned in the advent of the digital age, but the company wants to bring shaking Polaroids back via their new Socialmatic camera.
The premise is simple – the Socialmatic is able to print photos of whatever you shoot immediately, as well as upload them straight to your social network of choice via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The camera uses a 14-megapixel sensor as well as a 2-megapixel rear camera, and is powered by Android to make it easier for users to navigate through its retro-inspired square shell.
The Socialmatic camera is available in the US for $299.99 or around Php 13501.
