Powerbank WITH Phone? Doogee V Max has 22000mAh Battery

The Doogee V Max is a power bank first, phone second device with its huge 22000mAh battery, and has a Vertu-inspired design.

These days, we’re pretty much content with phones that have a 5000mAh battery. They normally last at least a day (or two) depending on how one uses them. There used to be a phone that has a 18000mAh battery back in 2019, and we thought that was already hilarious–until we saw reports of the Doogee V Max that will reportedly sport a 22000mAh battery.

Unlike the infamous Energizer phone, the V Max appears to have better styling with a Vertu-inspired design. While we can’t say if it’s a rugged device, those thick corners possibly mean that the V Max should be able to survive drops. The display looks pretty ordinary because of the notch present, but at least it’s a decent 6.58-inch panel with a Full HD+ display and a 120hz refresh rate.

The three cameras in the back reportedly consist of a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM2, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and a strange 20-megapixel IMX350 night vision camera–we honestly don’t know where you would use the latter. The back panel looks premium with a leather-like finish and a pattern that you’d probably mistake for a Vertu phone.

Despite the huge battery it packs, the V Max is no slouch when it comes to performance. It will reportedly use a Dimensity 1080 processor that’s paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. To charge that huge battery is a 33w wired solution, which should translate to around 5-6 hours to fully charge this behemoth.

Being a thicc boi at around 27.3mm thick (don’t even ask about the weight), Doogee told GSMArena that the V Max should last as much as 10 days of normal use–which is far beyond what we expect on any smartphone these days.

There’s no price yet for the V Max, but given the specs, we’re looking at roughly a Php 20k price tag for it.
