realme To Unveil realme 8 Series on March 24

realme is getting ready for the launch of its realme 8 series in India. Scheduled on March 24, realme hypes things up with a 2-minute video that has realme VP and CEO for India and Europe Madhav Sheth racing through India’s Buddh International Circuit.

Towards the end of the video, Sheth confirms that the realme 8 series—specifically the Pro model—will have a 108-megapixel camera, while the vanilla model will get a 64-megapixel camera.

The realme 8 Pro will be using a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, and some of its key hghlights include 9-to-1 pixel binning, Super-PD Autofocus, 4K video recording at up to 120FPS, and a 3x in-sensor zooming. Unique features coming to the realme 8 Pro includes Starry Mode for astrophotography and a unique time-shift time-lapse video feature.

Rumored specs for the realme 8 Pro include a 4500mAh battery with 65w wired charging, a Super AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and high refresh rate, and 5G connectivity. While there’s no definite confirmation yet about 5G, reports say that the realme 8 Pro might use a Dimensity 800U processor.

While we know little about the realme 8 Pro so far, Sheth revealed a quick overview of the realme 8’s specs. Aside from the 64-megapixel main camera, the realme 8 will be powered by a Helio G95 processor and will be powered by a 5000mAh battery with 30w wired charging. As for the display, the realme 8 will be shifting from IPS to Super AMOLED like its Pro sibling—don’t expect an in-display fingerprint scanner though, as that feature is expected to be exclusive to the Pro model.

Realme 8 Series Launch Date

realme’s latest upper mid-range phones will launch first in India on March 24, and will be available globally later on. For variants, the realme 8 Pro will reportedly have a 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB model, while the vanilla model will be available in 4GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB configurations.
