realme 9 Pro To Ditch Snapdragon 720G for Snapdragon 695

realme 9 Pro To Ditch Snapdragon 720G for Snapdragon 695

If you have been following realme’s single-digit series, the brand has been using the Snapdragon 720G since the realme 6 Pro. The changes with the 7 Pro and 8 Pro are very incremental, and the rumor about the realme 9 Pro ditching the 2-year old processor for a Snapdragon 695 is indeed promising.

Don’t be decided by the naming of the processor, as the Snapdragon 695 is a suitable upgrade to the Snapdragon 720G since it has 5G support and can handle both mmWave and sub-6Ghz frequencies. In addition to that, the Snapdragon 695 is based on a 6nm process, making it more power-efficient than the Snapdragon 720G.

Aside from this piece of good news, PassionateGeekz also got hold of the realme 9 Pro’s alleged spec sheet, which mentions a 6.6-inch 120hz AMOLED display with HDR10 support, a triple rear camera that consists of a 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor (which sounds like the same setup used on the GT Master Edition), and a 5000mAh battery with 33w wired charging.

While it has a lower-resolution main camera and slower charging speed, the realme 9 Pro will make up for it with its 120hz AMOLED display, 5G-ready Snapdragon 695 processor, and bigger battery. To wrap things up, PassionateGeekz also has a speculated price for the realme 9 Pro: RS 17,999(~Php 12.4k) or the 6GB/128GB model and RS 18,999(Php 13.1k) for the 8GB/128GB variant.

The realme 9 Pro is expected to be announced this February.
