Aside from the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+, realme adds two more models to the series with the 9 and 9 SE. Announced in India, this makes for a total of five models under the realme 9 series if you include the realme 9i.

The realme 9 SE–short for Speed Edition–boasts of a Snapdragon 778G processor and a class-leading 144hz IPS display. That places it in an interesting position, where it is above the realme 9 Pro since it uses a Snapdragon 695 processor and can’t record 4K video.

However, the realme 9 SE falls short of the realme 9 Pro as it loses the ultra-wide-angle camera–and instead trades it for a depth sensor. Like its Pro sibling, you still get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 16-megapixel selfie snapper, 5000mAh battery, and 33w wired charging.

The vanilla realme 9 settles for a Dimensity 810 processor and a 6.5-inch 90hz IPS display. It has the same cameras as the SE model but lacks the ability to shoot 4K video, and has the same 5000mAh battery but has slower charging speeds at 18w.

The realme 9 SE is priced at INR 19,999(~Php 13.7k) for the 6GB/128GB model and INR 22,999(~Php 15.8k) for the 8GB/128GB model, while the realme 9 is priced at INR 14,999(~Php 10.3k) for the 4GB/64GB model and INR 17,499(~Php 12k) for the 6GB/128GB model.

No word yet if both phones will be made available in the Philippines as of this writing.
