After being teased for a few weeks, realme has made the C55 official in the Philippines with a Php 9k starting price. While it’s a budget mid-range device, the C55’s main party trick is the Mini Capsule feature, which transforms the punch-hole area into a pill-shaped box to show relevant info like charging status.
The Mini Capsule will have other applications as well, and realme said that future updates will have it display internet speeds and step count. As a budget mid-range device, the C55 is powered by a Helio G88 processor that’s paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Its display is a 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS panel with a 90hz refresh rate an a punch-hole for the 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
The rear camera setup consists of a 64-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor while keeping the lights on is a 5000mAh battery with support for 33w USB-C charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, and Android 13-based realmeUI 4.0 out of the box.
The realme C55 has an official price of Php 8,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant and Php 10,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant in the Philippines. The first wave of sales will happen on realme’s TikTok Shop, where they can get the C55 for Php 1,000 less, making the early bird prices only Php7,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant and Php 9,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant. In addition to that, fans can also get freebies worth up to P690 when they purchase on TikTok Shop by April 18, 11:30PM.
The  C55 will also be available on realme’s Lazada Flagship Store starting April 19 with free Shipping and a Php 1,000 discount for both variants in limited quantities until April 21. Those buying via the realme e-store will get a 5% discount and a TechLife Power Bank for purchases made from April 19 to 25.
Those buying from realme stores and kiosks nationwide from April 19 to 30 will get a TechLife Power Bank for the 6GB/128GB variant. Those getting the 8GB/256GB variant will get a TechLife ower Bank and TechLife Buds Classic. On top of that, the first ten customers of realme’s 30 Concept Stores will have a realme Power Bank 2 (10000mAh).
