realme is serious about delivering the best with the GT 2 series, as the Pro model features a WQHD+ (2K) display–marking the first time realme offered such a resolution to any of its phones. It is the best display on a realme device to date, as it has 120hz adaptive refresh rate, LTPO 2.0, 100% P3 color gamut coverage, 1000hz touch sampling, and support for 10-bit color. Protecting the display is Gorilla Glass Victus.
The GT 2 Pro’s triple rear camera setup consists of an 50-megapixel IMX 766 main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide-angle camera with a 150-degree field of view, and a Micro-lens camera with 40x magnification. The ultra-wide-angle camera has a unique fisheye mode, and the Micro-lens camera is meant for taking close-up shots–similar to what we saw on the Find X3 Pro.
Powering the GT 2 Pro is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. A 9-layer cooling structure takes care of the phone’s thermals, while a 5000mAh battery keeps the lights on with support for 65w wired charging. Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, In-display fingerprint scanner, and Android 12-based realmeUI 3.0 out of the box.
The vanilla GT 2, on the other hand, has the same size and design language as the Pro model, but scales down on some features. With the vanilla model, you get a slightly smaller 6.62-inch Full HD+ E4 AMOLED display–still with a 120hz refresh rate, along with last year’s Snapdragon 888 processor. While it still has vapor chamber cooling, the vanilla GT 2 settles for an 8-layer design.
While it retains the IMX 766 main camera of the Pro model, the GT 2 settles for a more conservative 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Interestingly, the GT 2 has a higher-resolution 32-megapixel selfie snapper–the Pro model uses a 16-megapixel camera instead.
The realme GT 2 Pro is priced at CNY 3899(~Php 31.6k) for the 8GB/128GB model, CNY 4199(~Php 34k) for the 8GB/256GB model, CNY 4499(~Php 36.5k) for the 12GB/256GB model, and CNY 4999(~Php 40.5k) for the 12GB/512GB model. The realme GT2, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 2699(~Php 21.8k) for the 8GB/128GB model, CNY 2899(~Php 23.4k) for the 8GB/256GB model, and CNY 3199(~Php 25.9k) for the 12GB/256GB model.
There’s no word yet if realme will make the GT 2 series available in other countries, including the Philippines, as of this writing.
