Beyond smartphones, realme is continuously expanding its portfolio of products to include smart home devices. Late last year, the brand brought over the Watch S, Buds Air Pro, and other aIoT products like its Smart Scale, Electric Toothbrush and Smart Cam 360. For this year, the brand is set to expand that further by bringing over its realme TV to the Philippines.
Announced last year in India, the realme TV is the brand’s first Smart TV offering and comes with a custom MediaTek quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage. Two sizes were initially offered–32-inch and 43-inch–and you can add a 100w soundbar if their built-in speakers (that boast a 24w output) is not enough for you.
Other notable features include built-in Chromecase, Google Assistant, and a healthy set of ports and connectivity options that include Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4Ghz WiFi, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one LAN port, and one cable port.
As for the TV itself, realme recently teased that they are bringing over the same Smart TVs they debuted in India to our shores soon. Brand ambassador Alodia Gosiengfiao–who headlined the launch of the realme X50 Pro–shared on her Facebook page two boxes of the realme TV: one measuring 32-inches and another measuring 43-inches.
realme TV Philippines Price
This will be very interesting for realme, as they are set to compete against the budget Smart TV space with the likes of Xiaomi and Xtreme. Based on their official pricing in India, the 32-inch is priced under Php 9k while the 43-inch version is priced at under Php 15k. Those are competitive prices for the realme TV, though we will have to wait and see if realme Philippines will be able to price it close to the SRP in India.
Will you consider purchasing realme’s debut Smart TV when they become official at our shores?
