Nubia sub-brand Red Magic is making its 8 Pro gaming phone available globally, including the Philippines, for a Php 35k starting price.
Nubia sub-brand Red Magic has finally made the 8 Pro available globally, and there are a few differences compared to the China version, which was also the case with the Red Magic 7 series. To start things off, the global Pro+ is known as the Void with its transparent back, while the regular one is known as Matte with its opaque black back.
Both phones come with a 6000mAh battery that supports 65w charging. For comparison, the China Red Magic 8 Pro has the same battery but with 80w charging, while the Pro+ settles for a 5000mAh battery with 165w charging.
To recap, the Red Magic 8 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and comes with a 6.8-inch 120hz AMOLED that has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter hidden underneath it. As a gaming phone, you get touch-based shoulder triggers for a better gaming experience. You still get a fan to keep the internals cool, though Red Magic made some design tweaks to improve airflow and reduce noise.
While the phone is designed primarily for gaming, you do get a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The Matte version, which comes in a 12GB/256GB variant, is priced at $649 or around Php 35k, while the Void version, which comes in a 16GB/512GB variant, is priced at $799 or around Php 45k. You can get both models at Red Magic’s official global site.
