After Xiaomi announced the Redmi 12C earlier this year and made it available in the Philippines last March, it seems that Xiaomi is getting ready for the Redmi 12 soon. Recently, a listing in Portugal has revealed some of the key specs of the Redmi 12, along with its European price.
According to the listing, the Redmi 12 will have a 6.79-inch display with a punch-hole, along with a Helio G88 processor, 50-megapixel main camera, and a 5000mAh battery. As for the phone’s design, the Redmi 12 looks similar to the Redmi Note 12 4G–though the screen size indicates that the former might be slightly larger.
The Redmi 12 is listed for 210 Euros or around Php 12.6k when converted. European prices are usually higher, and we expect the Redmi 12 to have an under Php 10k price tag should it arrive in the Philippines.
Going through the other specs of the Redmi 12, Winfuture reports that the display will be a 90hz IPS panel with an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the notch. Accompanying the 50-megapixel main camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro camera. Other features that Winfuture noted include up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, MicroSD card slot, and 18w USB-C charging.
Given that a box that appears to be the official Redmi 12 packaging has also surfaced, it should be a matter of time before it goes official globally.
