After it was announced at the start of 2023 in China, Xiaomi Philippines confirms that the entry-level Redmi 12C is arriving in the country soon, with its official launch being on March 23.
Ahead of its launch in the Philippines, Xiaomi is engaging its fans to guess the possible price of the Redmi 12C. Based on its official pricing in China, we speculate that the Redmi 12C should be priced anywhere between Php 6k to 8k depending on the RAM/Storage variant. In its promo materials, Xiaomi highlights the larger screen and storage that the Redmi 12C offers–the latter might refer to the phone having as much as 128GB of internal storage that’s expandable via MicroSD.
To recap, the Redmi 12C is powered by a Helio G85 processor that’s paired with up to 6GB RAM. Its plastic back panel has a tonal stripe design and has a fingerprint scanner and a dual rear camera setup that’s led by a 50-megapixel main camera.
Other features of the Redmi 12C include a 6.71-inch HD+ IPS display with a notch for a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, a 5000mAh battery with support for 10w MicroUSB charging (with the charger included in the box), and Android 12-based MIUI 13.
