Redmi Note 12 4G Coming: To Debut Snapdragon 685?

The Redmi Note 12 series has become official in a number of countries like India and China, with all models having 5G connectivity. A 4G version of the Redmi Note 12 is expected, and hands-on images of the said phone have surfaced ahead of its release–along with some of its key specs.

While it does look similar to the 5G version, the Redmi Note 12 4G is using a Snapdragon 685 processor that is not yet official. The new 4G processor should not be that different from the Snapdragon 680 used on the Redmi Note 11, with the main difference being its Cortex-A73 cors having a higher clock speed at 2.8 GHz. The about page also confirms that it will come with 4GB RAM and Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.

Some of the Redmi Note 12 4G’s rumored features include a 5000mAh battery with 33w USB-C charging, a familiar 6.67-inch 120hz AMOLED display, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro.

When it comes to pricing, the Redmi Note 12 is expected to be in the under $180 range or around under Php 10k when it goes official. In a nutshell, the Redmi Note 12 appears to be an incremental upgrade from its predecessor, and we hope that the processor it will use proves to be better than the Snapdragon 680.
