While everyone was busy with the global launch of the Xiaomi 14T series, the brand was also busy in China with the unveiling of the Redmi Note 14 Pro series. Both the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ feature curved displays, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and IP68 rating though the latter looks more like a flagship killer.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ debuts the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, and is paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The top-end model uses LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, while the lower-end 12GB/256GB model uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
For the first time in the Redmi Note line, the 14 Pro+ has no filler cameras: accompanying the 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera is a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a 2.5x zoom. The main camera is a Light Hunter 800 sensor that has a f/1.6 opening and OIS. The selfie camera is a 20-megapixel shooter, though do note that only the main camera can shoot 4K video.
Another handout feature of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is a huge 6200mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 90w charging. Its display has a 1.5k resolution, 120hz refresh rate, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Moving to the Redmi Note 14 Pro, you get a 50-megapixel LYT600 camera with a f/.5 aperture and OIS, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. You get the same display as the Pro+ version, and its battery is slightly smaller at 5500mAh that supports 45w charging speeds.
Powering the Redmi Note 14 Pro is a Dimensity 7300 that’s paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 2.2 storage.
