Xiaomi is bringing a new budget tablet to the Philippines with the Redmi Pad 2. Armed with a promo starting price of Php 10,499, the Redmi Pad 2 has a 11-inch 90hz IPS display with a 2.5k (2560×1600) resolution and a 4-speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos. It’s powered by a Helio G100 processor that’s paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage–with the latter being expandable via MicroSD, and includes a SIM slot for LTE connectivity.
It has a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, and keeping the lights on is a 9000mAh battery that supports 18w charging. On the software side of things, it comes with Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 out of the box. Other features include a headphone jack and stylus support with the optional Redmi Smart Pen.
The official price of the Redmi Pad 2 is Php 11,999 for the 6GB/128GB model and Php 13,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. Both variants will have a promo price of Php 10,499 and Php 12,499 respectively, and those buying at Xiaomi’s official Shopee store will get a Redmi Smart Pen (for the first 300 customers) or a Redmi Buds 6 Active, along with a Php 500 discount voucher.
