Despite the company’s explosive Note 7 saga, Samsung Galaxy is still the most valuable brand in the Korean locale. Consumers in the country still place a lot of trust in the homegrown tech magnate, according to a local brand research firm.
Brand Stock, a Korean brand research company, recently published their “Brand Stock Index”, showing Samsung Galaxy as the most valuable brand in the nation. Samsung Galaxy scored 912.2 points, narrowly edging E-Mart and KakaoTalk for the top position.
Samsung’s timely reaction and speedy recall of the Note 7’s problematic batteries were cited to be major factors in the Q3 index results. The success of the company’s ongoing recall measures will play a large role in Samsung’s continued dominance in later brand value indices, Brand Stock noted.
