The ASUS ROG Ally X debuted at the COMPUTEX 2024 and will soon arrive in the Philippines this month. The official ASUS Facebook page announced an online debut date of August 23.
For a quick refresher, the upcoming handheld device packs the same AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with an RDNA 3-based graphics card as its predecessor. It boasts the same 7-inch IPS touchscreen display running at a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the other hand, improvements include a beefier 80Wh 4-cell Lithium-ion battery for longer gaming sessions and a bigger 24GB LPDDR5 RAM to help boost the performance a little bit. It also comes with a 1TB storage out of the box, along with two USB-C 4.0 ports for attaching devices like an external GPU. Aside from that, the ROG Ally X now comes in black instead of white like its predecessor.
In the US, the ROG Ally X is priced at $799.99, or around Php 45.8k when converted. However, we should wait for the August 23 launch via live stream at 6 PM to learn more about the local pricing and availability of this handheld gaming device.
