While many assumed that it might hit the six-digit mark, the price of the ROG Phone 8 series in the Philippines is lower than expected–especially if you’re gunning for the Pro model with a maxed-out configuration.

To recap, the ROG Phone 8 has the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with as much as 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. While you still get its gaming credentials like AirTriggers and an optimized thermal management system, the biggest improvement on the ROG Phone 8 series is its camera system.

The triple rear camera setup is the best we’ve seen on any gaming phone: a 50-megapixel IMX890 main camera with ASUS’ 6-axis gimbal stabilizer solution, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a free-form lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. 

The revamped look makes the ROG Phone 8 slimmer than its predecessors, resulting in a smaller 5500mAh battery. To make up for it, the ROG Phone 8 now has wireless charging and an IP68 rating–a first for the ROG Phone series. 

So how good is the pricing then? The 16GB/512GB will set you for Php 60,995, while the maxxed out 24GB/1TB version is priced at Php 75,995. Good job to ASUS Philippines on making the prices of the ROG Phone 8 Pro lower than what we all expected. Want something more affordable? The standard ROG Phone 8 is priced at just Php 50,995 for the 12GB/256GB variant. 

Aside from that great pricing, both the standard and Pro variants come with an AeroActive cooler if you order a unit starting today until April 10, while the 24GB/1TB Pro variant has a sweeter deal with the addition of ROG Cetra TWS for every purchase.
