The Galaxy A14 5G lands in the Philippines, and its official price is competitive for an entry-level Samsung product.
While we are waiting for the Galaxy A54 and A24, Samsung brought over its entry-level A-series offering to the Philippines with the Galaxy A14 5G. Despite looking similar to last year’s Galaxy A13, the A14 adds 5G connectivity with its use of a Dimensity 700 processor.
The Galaxy A14 5G still keeps its predecessor’s 50-megapixel primary camera (which still uses an ISOCELL JN1 sensor) and 6.6-inch Full HD+ display, but the two cameras accompanying it are just 2-megapixel filler cameras. Aside from the processor, the Galaxy A14 5G gets a better selfie camera with a 13-megapixel shooter, along with a 90hz refresh rate for the display.
Other highlights of the Galaxy A14 5G include a 5000mAh battery that supports 15w USB-C charging (but without any charger included in the box), a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Android 13 out of the box.
The Galaxy A14 5G is priced at Php 12,990 for the 6GB/128GB variant in the Philippines, making it more expensive than its predecessor because of the added 5G connectivity. To entice customers, those buying the Galaxy A14 5G before February 2 will receive a 25w travel adapter and a 10000mAh power bank. That should make the Galaxy A14 5G a compelling deal considering how Samsung would price its phones.
