While Samsung has the Galaxy M54 5G appears to be what the Galaxy A74 should be if Samsung pushed through with it, the upcoming Galaxy M44 might be the more interesting offering.

A Geekbench listing reveals that the Galaxy M44 will allegedly use a Snapdragon 888 processor with the SM8350 name listed and the clock speeds of its cores matching to what we know about the Snapdragon 888. The listing also mentions that it will have 6GB of RAM, which is rather low for a phone with a flagship-grade processor. Even stranger is the fact that the Galaxy M44 technically has a more powerful processor than the Galaxy M54’s Exynos 1380 even if the Snapdragon 888 is 3 years old at this point.

We don’t know the other specs of the Galaxy M44, but if we based on on how Samsung outfitted the M54 and M34, we should expect the Galaxy M44 to have at least a 120hz AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, 25w charging, and Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.

Since the Galaxy M54 has yet to be made officially available in the Philippines, it will be intriguing if Samsung intends to offer a mid-range phone that has a 2020 flagship processor inside.
