Cheaper alternative to the Note 3

Remember the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, that downgraded Note 3-looking phablet that Samsung released about a month ago? It’s finally arrived in the PH in everyone’s favorite online store, though it’s not entirely clear what version of the device that Kimstore is selling. While Kimstore stated that the version of the Note 3 Neo that they are selling has a quad-core 1.3GHz processor, technically there is no 1.3GHz version of the Note 3 Neo , unless you count the hexacore version of the Note 3 Neo which uses Samsung’s Exynos 5260 processor, possessing a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 & dual-core 1.7 GHz Cortex A15 processor configured with ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture.

Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE+

  • Exynos 5 Hexa (2×1.7GHz Cortex-A15 cores, 4×1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores)
  • 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, 720 x 1280 resolution, 267 ppi
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB storage, expandable via microSD up to 64GB
  • 8-megapixel camera with BSI, auto focus, smart stabilization, LED flash
  • 2-megapixel front camera with BSI, smart stabilization
  • 4G (LTE 150/50Mb/s Cat 4): Up to 6 different ranges
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth ver 4
  • 3100mAh battery

If that is the variant that Kimstore is selling, it should (key word should) have LTE connectivity alongside the hexacore processor. Aside from the downgraded hardware, you can expect that Note 3 Neo to have all the same Samsung software that made the Note 3 great, alongside with the same S-Pen. Kimstore is selling the Note 3 Neo for just Php 20,200, which should appease anyone craving for the Note 3 experience for less.
