Samsung Confirms Galaxy S24 Series Launch on January 17

Confirming previous rumors and speculations, Samsung announced that the Galaxy S24 series will launch on January 17.

From their Twitter post, the livestream in the Philippines will be at January 18, 2AM, which means that the launch will be at January 17, 10AM in San Jose, California.

A previous leak revealed a lot of what we need to know about the Galaxy S24 series prior to the official launch, which include the return to a WQHD+ resolution for the Galaxy S24+ and the use of titanium on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Both the Galaxy S24 and S24+ get a slightly larger display and battery, while the S24 Ultra is going for a flat panel.

There’s still debate on what processors the Galaxy S24 series will use. Depending on the region, users may get a unit with either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor or an Exynos 2400. The good news, however, is that the Galaxy S24 series will reportedly have a lower SRP than the Galaxy S23 series—at least in Europe.

As for features, the Galaxy S24 series will be focusing heavily on AI, with features like Live Translate and Generative Edit. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will reportedly get better video capabilities with native support for 4K video recording at 120FPS.
