A great feat for Samsung’s second foldable device
With its unique form factor and flagship internals, Samsung Philippines announced that it has sold out all available stocks of the Galaxy Z Flip just three days after the pre-order period. That’s quite a feat, considering that the compact clamshell phone—which folds out to roughly the size of a Galaxy S20+, is priced close to Php 80,000.
“All the excitement surrounding the Galaxy Z Flip proved that there is a strong desire for a new mobile experience that offers both style and function,” Samsung Philippines IT and Mobile Business Unit Head Jerry Mañus.
Aside from the 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex-O display, Samsung improved the design on the Galaxy Z Flip, which includes a hideaway hinge for a smooth and stable flip and fold, an ultra-thin glass to protect the display and a cover screen that display pertinent notifications and doubles as a viewfinder for taking selfies.
