Samsung Teases Galaxy Z Fold7 as Thinner, Lighter, More Durable

After starting its teasers for the Galaxy Z series last week that they will provide an Ultra experience, Samsung released a new teaser focusing on the Galaxy Z Fold7. In its press release, Samsung went down memory lane to 2019 when it first introduced the Galaxy Fold as “a completely new form factor that combined the portability of a smartphone with the extensive productivity of a tablet”.

Our drive to deliver the ultimate mobile experience has always been guided by the needs of our users. This unwavering commitment to meeting their evolving needs has driven the development and ongoing refinement of innovative form factors that consistently redefine the parameters of mobile experiences,” Samsung explained in its press release.

So what’s next for Samsung? With other foldables pushing for a thinner and sleeker profile, it’s natural that the Galaxy Z Fold7 will be thinner than its predecessors–including the Z Fold6 Special Edition. Samsung added that its engineers and designers are working hard to refine each generation ” to be thinner, lighter and more durable than the last.”

We don’t know what are Samsung’s plans yet, but it’s possible that the Galaxy Z Fold7 might use a titanium frame just like the S25 Ultra. With a closing line that states “The newest Galaxy Z series is the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet,” that might be a possibility, so we wait and see what Samsung has in store for its next generation of foldables.
