While the Galaxy Note 20 series is the highlight of Samsung’s Unpacked, the Galaxy Z Fold2 is also a key highlight at the event. As a successor to last year’s Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Fold2 ditches the large notch on the 7.6-inch foldable Super AMOLED inner display with a trendier punch-hole. The inner display has a 2213 x 1689 resolution and has a 120hz refresh rate for a smoother overall UI experience.
Like the Galaxy Z Flip, the Galaxy Z Fold2’s inner display is protected by Ultra-Thin Glass. It also gets a similar mechanism design used on the Galaxy Z Flip where the Galaxy Z Fold2 has a Flex mode—where you have the inner display folded 90 degrees.
The outer Super AMOLED display gets a big size bump, this time measuring 6.2-inches. Powering the Galaxy Z Fold2 is a 4500mAh battery.
Samsung will reveal more about the Galaxy Z Fold2 on September 1.
