Samsung Introduces Its Odyssey Gaming Laptops

15-Inch Samsung Odyssey Gaming Laptop

ASUS has the Republic of Gamers, Dell has Alienware, HP has Omen, and even Lenovo recently released its own gaming sub-brand — Legion. It seems like Korean company, Samsung, wants a piece of the gaming pie by unveiling its gaming laptops at CES 2017 under the name — Odyssey.

The Odyssey gaming laptops will come in 15-inch and 17-inch variants. While not all of its specs have been fully disclosed, we do know that they will be armed with 7th-Generation Intel Core i7 processors, up to 32GB of RAM for the 15-inch and up to 64GB of RAM for the 17-inch, plus Full HD displays. The 15-inch variant of the Odyssey will have a NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti, while the GPU for the 17-inch version of the gaming laptop is still being finalized; though we are inclined to think that it will most likely be the NVIDIA GTX 1060.   • USB Type-C with Thunderbolt 3

  • Headphone Port
17-Inch Samsung Odyssey Gaming Laptop

Both notebooks will feature an easily opened upgrade door in case you want to tweak your RAM or storage options, or are the type who wants to empty out a can of compressed air to keep your laptop dust-free. Of course, no gaming laptop is complete with out backlit keyboards. The 17-inch laptop will feature 0.5mm volcano keycaps with full RGB customization , while the 15-inch will have 0.3mm crater keycaps; no RGB lighting for the 15. Both laptops will ship in black, but Samsung may consider the white version you see in the photo above.

Price and avaiability for the Samsung Odyssey gaming laptops have yet to be finalized, but we’ve seen several publications say that they will be available early this year and may have a starting price of $1,199 or Php 59,320.
