Samsung Rolling Out Android Pie to the Galaxy Note 9

Samsung Rolling Out Android Pie to the Galaxy Note 9

Patience is the key

Samsung may be lagging behind the likes of Huawei when it comes to speedy software updates, but the South Korean brand is speeding up things to make sure their phones have the latest Android version.

Samsung has started rolling out Android Pie and One UI last week with the Galaxy S9 and S9+. This time, there are reports that Galaxy Note 9 users enrolled in Samsung’s Android Pie beta program are receiving the update as well.

Weighing in at around 96mb, the update includes the January 2018 security patch, along with improvements in the camera particularly in processing HDR photos. Those who are not enrolled in Android Pie Beta should expect a bigger update file size, since this update basically makes some tweaks to the Android Pie Beta build.

The update started rolling out in Germany, and we expect it to roll out globally in the coming weeks.
