A premium clamshell handset with model number SM-G9298
Samsung’s high-end flip phone, the SM-G9298 (the SM-W2018 from previous leaks), is rumored for an unveiling this August 3 according to a Chinese leakster. The gossip comes from Twitter leakster @mmddj_china, a known reliable tipster when it comes to upcoming smartphones and other devices. Samsung will be holding a press briefing in Beijing, China, on the said date to officially unwrap the clamshell phone.
Earlier, live pictures of the clamshell were uploaded to Slashleaks, giving us a clearer look at the premium phone. Samsung has not yet officially detailed the specs of the flip phone, so we’ll have to go by previous insider reports on what to expect from it.
