Has the same overall score with the iPhone 8 Plus
The verdict is in: Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 receives the highest DxOMark on an Android Smartphone, with an overall score of 94.
The Note 8 received a photo score of 100, with DxOMark praising Samsung’s flagship for its excellent noise reduction, reproduction of fine details, and autofocus performance, along with its high-quality zoom lens. For the video category, the Note 8 received a score of 84 with DxOMark citing the phone’s solid video output. In spite of having problems in video autofocusing and reproducing textures, the Note 8 remains to be stellar with its color rendering and noise reduction.
The Note 8’s overall score ties it with Apple’s iPhone 8 Plus as the best-performing smartphone cameras according to DxOMark. HTC’s U11 and Google’s Pixel come close to the iPhone 8 Plus and Note 8 with an overall score of 90.
