Want the Samsung tab experience without paying big bucks? Then take a look at the new Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. And let’s be real, the “FE” moniker has become synonymous with “premium-ish without the premium ouch,” so expectations are naturally hovering somewhere between “solid daily driver” and “surprisingly capable for the cash.”
Samsung’s tabs have always been the best looking of the bunch, and these new budget-ish offerings are no exception. We’re talking about a refined metal unibody, the kind that feels good in the hand while still able to take a beating.
Now, let’s talk screens, because that’s where you’ll be spending most of your time. The Tab S10 FE+ goes big, bumping things up to a 13.1-inch panel. That’s a noticeable jump, almost 12% bigger than the previous FE+ iteration. For the serious multitaskers or those who treat their tablet like a portable cinema, that extra real estate is going to be a welcome upgrade. The standard Tab S10 FE still clocks in with a respectable 10.9-inch display, hitting that sweet spot for portability and everyday use.
But Samsung isn’t just throwing bigger screens at us; they’re injecting some brainpower into these slates. Naturally, the brand is leaning heavily into AI. We’re seeing the debut of “Circle to Search with Google,” which, if it works as advertised, could be a genuinely slick way to dive into web searches without leaving your current app. Samsung’s also giving their Notes app a shot in the arm with new features, and the upgraded Object Eraser promises to be even better at banishing those photobombers.
So, who’s the target audience here? It feels like Samsung’s aiming for that sweet spot of value-conscious buyers who still crave a taste of the high life. Students juggling assignments and streaming, professionals needing a portable workhorse, or anyone who just wants a capable tablet for their daily digital fix – the Tab S10 FE series looks poised to deliver without emptying your wallet.
The new tabs are out in the US and Europe, but sadly no word yet on local availability. Prices for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE start at around Php 36.6K for the lowest model with WiFi only and 128GB of storage, with the highest end 5G version costing significantly more at Php 46K when converted to local currency. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ meanwhile starts at 47.3K for the WiFi-only model, climbing up to Php 56.8K for the 5G model.
