At 1/3.4 inches, it is the most compact image sensor in the industry, making it a suitable choice for slender smartphones.
The ISOCELL Slim 3T2 can be used as either a front or rear camera. It boasts of a 20-megapixel resolution with 0.8?m-sized pixels, making it suitable for low-light photography. It also comes with ISOCELL Plus technology, which should help in better color reproduction—at least on paper. With Samsung’s Tetracell tech, the ISOCELL Slim 3T2 combines pixels for 1.6?m-sized pixels for increased light sensitivity.
When used for telephoto lens, the ISOCELL Slim 3T2 uses an RGB color filter array and can produce up to 60% better image resolution at 10x zoom compared to conventional 13-megapixel sensors.
The ISOCELL Slim 3T2 is expected to be in mass production by first quarter of 2019.
