Skyworth Announces S82 4K OLED TV and Q72 4K MiniLED TV

Skyworth announces its latest 4K TVs as part of its 2021 Autumn Product Launch with the S82 4K OLED TV and Q72 4K Smart MiniLED TV.

The Skyworth S82 is available in 55-inch and 65-inch models and boasts of a class-leading Delta E color accuracy of <0.86, along with Skyworth’s AI Picture Quality Engine and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. The S82’s panel is a 4K 120hz OLED variety and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, giving you the best possible performance in picture contrast, viewing angles, and response rate.

The S82 boasts of an ultra-thin display with 3.9mm in thickness and Skyworth’s Audio Drum audio system that has a built-in 20w subwoofer that supports Dolby Atmos. Powering the S72 is a MediaTek 9950 processor with a Mali-G52 2EE MC2 GPU and a dedicated APU, and is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and two HDMI 2.1 ports. The S82 also comes with a built-in High-Intensity Smart AI Camera for video calls.

On the other hand, the Q72 is available in 75-inch and 86-inch models and makes use of a new Chip-on-Glass MiniLED technology that features 20,736 backlights across 2,304 zones for better display illumination. Each dimming zone is controlled independently by an IC ensuring a flicker-free viewing experience, along with Skyworth’s AI algorithms for precise light control.

The MiniLED panel has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and up to 1500nits of peak brightness. On top of that, the Q72’s panel supports 115% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color, 3D LUT, Dolby Vision, and HDR10. On top of that, the Q72 has a 4K resolution and up to a 120hz refresh rate. Like the S82, the Q72 gets a built-in High-Intensity Smart AI Camera for video calls.

The Q72’s external dock

The Q72’s audio system consists of two front-firing audio speakers, two upward-firing audio speakers, and an external wireless subwoofer to deliver a 2.1.2 surround system that supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Powering the Q72 is a MediaTek 9950 processor with a Mali-G52 2EE MC2 GPU and a dedicated APU, and is paired with 6.5GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 1x HDMI 2.1 port, 3x HDMI 2.0 ports, and 3x USB-A ports.

Both the S82 and Q72 will launch in China initially and will be available globally at a later date.
