Smart Announces the availability of LTE powered Sony Xperia V and ZTE T82

Smart just announced the availability of their first two LTE-capable and ready smartphones, the Sony Xperia V and the ZTE T82. These two smartphones can connect already to the 4G/LTE network of Smart when they get released on December 21. This is a major milestone for the industry as these are truly the first two LTE handsets offered to consumers. Check out the specifications of both phones below.

As you can see the Sony Xperia V is actually a very competitive smartphone! The camera looks very promising and all the technology you’d want from a high-end device is there (save for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but that will come in an update).

  • 1900mAh battery
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Both handsets are free at Plans 1500 and 2000. Plan 1500 gives 120 SMS, 60 minutes calls, and LTE data. Plan 2000 will offer 200 SMS, 150 minutes calls, and LTE data. LTE is unlimited until January 30, 2013. The poster doesn’t say though what the cap is after that. Maybe 10GB? Will double check with Smart.
