New plan aimed at strengthening family ties through technology

Smart has unveiled their new post-paid plan aimed at families who want to communicate beyond the usual calls and texts.  The new plan, dubbed Family Ties, offers three Android smartphones in three lines under a single plan. The Smart Family Ties Plan 900 gives includes unlimited calling within the family circle, as well as unlimited texts to all Smart subscribers. Subscribers who avail of the Family Ties Plan 900 also get 200 free texts to all networks and 300mb of free data for each line.

Plan 1800 offers unlimited calling and texting to all Smart subscribers, as well as 200 free texts to all networks and 300mb of free data for each line.

Subscribers for the Family Ties plan can choose from several brands of Android devices, which include O+ USA, Lenovo and Alcatel.

While the default number of lines for both Family Ties plan is three, subscribers can always add additional lines – up to six – for their other family members if they decide to do so. They just need to add Php 300 per month, per additional line for Plan 900 and Php 600 a month, per additional line for Plan 1800.

All smartphones under the Family Ties plan will have Vodafone’s Guardian app preinstalled. The Vodafone Guardian app gives parents the power to control the smartphone of their children, and allows them to set caller and SMS permissions, filter contacts, block certain smartphone features, set passwords and more. Incidentally, Smart will be the first company in Asia to offer the Vodafone Guardian app.
