Sony announces the Xperia S, drops the “Ericsson”
Another major product announcement from the Consumer Electronics Show 2012! Sony just took the wraps off their newest offering, the Sony Xperia S! This stunning device comes in either black or white and packs a gorgeous 1280×720 4.3″ display. It runs on a 1.5GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB/32GB storage. The highlight though is the camera. It has a 12 MP camera with the Sony Exmor R backlit sensor! It’s amazing how smartphones get better cameras every year. Next thing you know the Canon S95 will be subsumed into a smartphone, lol.
No word yet on pricing but it should be out Q1 this year in the US. We’ll probably get it Q2 or Q3 here in the Philippines.
