Sony Philippines to offer the Xperia Tipo and Xperia Tipo Dual

Sony is smashing into the entry-level Android smartphone segment with the Sony Xperia Tipo next month. Priced competitively at Php7,690, the Xperia Tipo has a 3.2-inch scratch resistant display, 800Mhz processor, 512MB RAM, expandable storage up to 32GB, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes in different colors as well to give the unit more personality and flavor. Sony is also bringing the Xperia Tipo Dual which is basically the same phone save for the dual-sim feature. The Xperia Tipo Dual will sell for Php8,490.
