To sport dual rear cameras
While there are rumors of potentially three new Sony Xperia phones coming in early 2018, this new leak points to a potential successor to the Xperia XZ1. Codenamed H8216, the rumored phone will sport a Snapdragon 845 processor to go together with 4GB RAM and 64GB UFS storage.
The Full HD screen on this mystery model is bigger than that on the XZ1 at 5.48 inches. It’s too early to tell if this is one of the Xperia models that will sport a new design consisting of thin bezels, so we leave it at that for now.
As for the cameras, this will potentially be Sony’s first dual-camera Xperia smartphone, with twin 12-megapixel cameras in the back. For the front camera, it will sport a 15-megapixel f/2.0 snapper with Sony’s Exmor RS sensor and SteadyShot.
Powering the mystery Xperia phone is a 3130mAh battery with Quick Charge, along with a MicroUSB port. Like the XZ1, the H8216 will be rated IP68.
