It can capture smooth, stabilized footage at up to 4K30
Sony updates its line of Handycam camcorders with the FDR-AX43. It’s latest Handycam offering has a unique feature in the form of a built-in gimbal mechanism called Balanced Optical SteadyShot.
The new feature aids the FDR-AX43 in capturing smooth footage while walking, running, or at full zoom at up to 4K resolution. Its Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* zoom lens boasts of 20x optical zoom and a wide 26.8mm focal length and is paired with a 1/2.5-inch Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor. Its internals gives the FDR-AX43 support for high bitrate shooting (100mbps for XAVC S 4K and 50mbps for XAVC S HD), along with Fast Intelligent AF.
Other features include a fully articulating 3-inch touchscreen, Highlight Movie Maker in-camera editing, Directional 3-capsule mic, and a battery that is rated for up to 235 minutes of continuous recording time.
The FDR-AX43 is priced at $849.99(~Php 43.5k) and will be available soon.
