SteelSeries has officially launched its new Arctis Gamebuds in the Philippines. Unlike other game-focused TWS buds, SteelSeries’ offering connects to PCs, PS5s, XBOX, and handheld consoles via Bluetooth and a 2.4GHz wireless dongle.
This gives people the same response time as they would have if they were using dedicated wired headphones, eliminating the annoying lag that even gaming-focused, Bluetooth-only headphones can’t match.
Aside from that, the Arctis Gamebuds feature physical clicky buttons on both the left and right earbuds that you can program, which is a refreshing change from the usual touch-only controls of competing brands.
Sound-wise, the buds have ANC (active noise cancellation) with a pass-through feature, as well as Neodymium Magnet Drivers with 20-20,000Hz frequency response and Spatial Audio. Each bud is rated for around 10 hours of use, with the case holding enough charge for an additional 30 hours.
Speaking of the case, the case also has Qi Wireless charging tech so you can charge it and the buds on the go or on your phone using reverse wireless charging if you run out of juice. The Arctis is compatible with the PS5, PS4, PS4 Pro, PC, Mac, Switch, iPhone (USB-C), Android (USB-C), Tablet (USB-C), and Handhelds with USB-C.
The SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds has a price of Php 10,458 in the Philippines and is now available in retail stores such as Datablitz.
