When it comes to cases for smartphones we here at Unbox usually have 4 third party brands that are top of mind: SGP, Krusell, Otterbox, and Tech21. Among the group Tech21 is the newest brand but they’re also the most balanced among the lot. The Tech21 Impact Frame gives impressive protection, preserves the form of the device, and it doesn’t add too much bulk and heft. It’s kinda pricey at Php1,200 but it’s a case that you could use for the full lifespan of your phone.

The case basically has two main components. The first is the Impact Band which has the scientifically proven D30 military grade impact material that repels force (see video below for full explanation how this works). The second is a permanent frosted hard PC back plate. The band defends the phone from major drops while the back plate shields it from scratches.

It actually saved the life of our phone already since it fell out of our pocket while we were getting out of the car earlier.
