Tencent Games Signs Agreement With ASUS For Second ROG Phone

The new phone might come by July

Tencent Games is a massive mobile games developer in China, responsible for many hit titles for the mobile platform, including the mobile version of the hit battle royale game, PUBG.

It comes as no surprise then that Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has inked a partnership with the mobile gaming powerhouse for their upcoming ROG phone, which sees Tencent optimizing the gaming experience on the next-gen gaming device.

While the details of the partnership aren’t particularly clear, you can expect better performance optimization for Tencent’s games on the next ROG phone, along with general optimization for other games.

As for when the phone will actually be released, well a separate post on Chinese social media site Weibo suggests that the phone will drop in July, at least for Chinese customers.

The next generation ROG phone will have an even faster 120Hz panel, along with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and most likely an insane amount of RAM.
