Tesla has a Php 17k Wireless Charger that Acts like AirPower

While Elon Musk is busy trying to fix the mess he has made with Twitter, his other company Tesla has launched something outrageous–a $300 (or Php 17k) wireless charger that only charges up to 15w BUT can charge multiple devices at once. Take that, AirPower.

The wireless charger that Tesla announced is so overpriced, that you can buy six of Xiaomi’s faster and much superior 50w wireless charging stand. As what we think is the Vertu of wireless chargers, one of the things that Tesla has to offer with their Wireless Charging Platform is that it is truly premium–and is inspired by the Cybertruck.

That being said, Tesla’s Wireless charger has an angular design, is made from aluminum, and has a surface that’s covered by Alcantara to ensure that you wirelessly charge your devices in style and without inducing smudges or scratches in the process. There’s also a magnetic stand that lets you angle the wireless charger with style–perhaps to let you appreciate its angular looks better.

As for its main function, the Wireless Charging Platform can charge up to three devices at once, and make use of FreePower, which is a Qi-based charging standard that lets you wirelessly charge your devices without precise alignment AND with the right charging speed. Yes, Tesla was able to achieve that Apple failed with the AirPower–though at a very expensive price.

Before you get too excited to burn your Christmas money on this big chunk of aluminum, Tesla notes that the Wireless Charging Platform will begin shipping in February 2023. So it might take several months before you actually get hold of one and flex it with your friends.
