Finding an OPPO phone for under Php 6k is rare, and the arrival of the A18 in the Philippines comes with significant upgrades that are significantly better than last year’s A17K. This time around, OPPO’s most affordable phone in 2023 offers a decent spec sheet that can compete against other ultra-budget phones.
The A18’s biggest upgrade over the A17K is its use of a Helio G85 processor. While it may be an aging chip, it offers significantly better performance over the A17K’s Helio G35 in both CPU and GPU. You also get a more palatable 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that should make the A18 comfortable to use with the latest version of ColorOS.
Despite being priced at under Php 6k, OPPO also equipped the A18 with a 90hz display, giving it more value for money as an ultra-budget phone. The A18 also has the same OPPO Glow design you’d find on other 2023 A-series models, giving it a modern look despite its very affordable price.
