The HTC Desire 22 Pro is Part of the Viverse Ecosystem

Far from its glory days in smartphones, HTC is still up and fighting as it announced the Desire 22 Pro in Taiwan and Europe. While it may appear like your typical 2022 mid-range phone, the Desire 22 Pro’s main selling point is that it is part of HTC’s Viverse ecosystem and is compatible with the brand’s VR products like the Vive Flow.

For those unaware, its compatibility with Viverse means that you can access virtual content from the metaverse using the Desire 22 Pro and any of its VR headsets. Aside from that novel feature, HTC said that they are working on a Viverse Wallet to let you manage your digital assets from cryptocurrencies to NFTs directly from the Desire 22 Pro.

As a mid-range smartphone, the Desire 22 Pro appears to be competitive with its Snapdragon 695 processor and 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 120hz refresh rate and a punch-hole for the 32-megapixel selfie snapper. Its triple rear camera setup is up to par, as you get a 64-megapixel main camera, 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 5-megapixel depth sensor.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP67 rating, and a 4520mAh battery that supports 18w wired and 15w wireless charging.
