The Motorola G51 is the First Phone with a Snapdragon 480+ Processor

After Qualcomm announced a number of new processors last week, Motorola is one of the first to use the Snapdragon 480+ with the G51 in China.

To recap, the Snapdragon 480+ has a higher-clocked Prime CPU Core at 2.2Ghz (vs 2.0Ghz), along with a higher-clocked Adreno 619 GPU. It also gains support for Full HD+ displays at up to 120hz, along with an X51 5G modem that supports both sub-6Ghz and mmWave 5G networks.

Announced as a phone exclusive to China Mobile, the G51 packs a large 6.8-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a 120hz refresh rate, 240hz touch response rate, and a punch-hole for the selfie camera–though the sensor used was not disclosed as of this writing. Audio is taken care of by stereo speakers that have support for Dolby Atmos.

It has a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2- megapixel depth sensor. Other features include a 5000mAh battery, USB-C port, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Android 11-based MYUI 2.0 (which is MyUX for the Chinese market).

Motorola G51 Price

The Motorola G51 is priced at CNY 1499(~Php 11.9k) for the sole 8GB/128GB variant, and is available in China via China Mobile. There’s no word if Motorola will make it available outside of China.
