The Nokia C32 and C22 Promise a 3-Day Battery Life

While the attention-grabber for HMD Global’s MWC 2023 announcements is the repairable Nokia G22, the brand also unveiled two new entry-level models with the C22 and C32.

Common between both phones is that they have a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a notch for an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, UC9863A processors, fingerprint scanners, a 5000mAh battery that’s rated for up to 3 days thanks to AI-powered battery-saving management, 10w charging, and an IP52 rating. Both phones come with Android 13 out of the box, and HMD Global commits to two years of security updates.

The C22 is the more basic of the two, sporting a plastic back panel, up to 3GB RAM, up to 64GB internal storage, a dual-rear camera setup that’s led by a 13-megapixel camera, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The C32, on the other hand, steps things up by having a glass back, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, up to 4GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, and a triple rear camera setup that’s led by a 50-megapixel main camera–a first for the C-series.

The Nokia C32 starts at 129 Euros(~Php 8k), while the C22 starts at 109 Euros(~Php 6.5k). The former’s pricing is interesting, as it’s rare to see a budget phone that actually features a glass back.
