No word yet if it will be sold outside of China
HMD Global finally unveiled the Nokia X5 following a delayed launch. Like the Nokia X6, the Nokia X5’s display comes with a notch. Being an affordable version, the Nokia X5 has a 5.86-inch HD+ display but makes up for the downgraded display with an Helio P60 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB internal storage. Powering the phone is a 3060mAh battery and Android 8.1 out of the box, with a guaranteed upgrade to Android P.
It comes with a glass back that houses the fingerprint scanner and 12-megapixel f/2.0 and 5-megapixel rear cameras. The front camera is an 8-megapixel f/2.2 wide-angle snapper with AI portraits and beauty mode.
The best part is price, as the 3GB/32GB variant will retail for CNY 999(~Php 8k), while the 4GB/64GB variant will sell for CNY 1399 (~Php 11.2k). The prices make the Nokia X5 one of the most affordable phones equipped with an Helio P60 processor.
Pre-orders start today in China, and no word yet if the Nokia X5 will be launched globally.
