After realme teased that the 13 Pro series is coming soon, it recently held a media preview event in Bangkok where it revealed more details about the cameras.
One of the highlights of the media preview event is a renewed collaboration with Sony for a custom LYT-701 sensor for both the 13 Pro and 13 Pro+. Not much is revealed about the new sensor, but the LYT-701 is part of realme’s HYPERIMAGE+ tech, which combines flagship optics, on-device AI imaging algorithms, and cloud-based AI image editing. Aside from that, realme did confirm that the main camera of the 13 Pro series will have OIS.
The media preview event also confirmed that the realme 13 Pro+ will also get an upgraded periscope camera that will use an LYT-600 sensor (which is technically similar to the IMX882 as previously rumored) and offer 3x optical zoom.
Aside from confirming the cameras, realme hinted about the 13 Pro series’ RAW shooting capabilities with the AI HyperRAW algorithm that aims to boost clarity and dynamic range “to capture authentic light and shadow with true-to-life results”. There’s also a mention of AI Pure Bokeh which we presume will give the realme 13 Pro series better subject detection in taking portrait shots.
As for the cloud-based AI Image editing features, realme teased its AI Ultra Clarity feature, which can enhance low-resolution photos to deliver high-quality images.
