Xiaomi updates its budget offerings in the Philippines with the Redmi 12, which it has a starting price of Php 7k. As a successor to the Redmi 10, the Redmi 12 gets an updated look that includes a glass back, flat frame sides, sleeker camera module layout, and an IP53 rating. The Redmi 12 also gets a bigger 6.79-inch display that still retains the Full HD+ resolution and 90hz refresh rate, making it a great budget phone for binging content. Aside from being a large display, the Redmi 12 has Widevine L1, allowing you to enjoy your favorite Netflix shows in Full HD.
Like the Redmi 10, the Redmi 12 is powered by s Helio G88 processor and has a 50-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera–making it a decent budget phone especially with its rivals not offering an ultra-wide camera. Other features of the Redmi 12 include 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5000mAh battery with support for 18w charging, and Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.
Redmi 12 Philippines: Price
The Redmi 12 is priced at Php 7,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and Php 8,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant, and both variants will be available online at Shopee and Lazada. The 8GB/256GB variant will be available at authorized Xiaomi stores nationwide and at Xiaomi Philippines’ TikTok Shop starting September 30.
From September 20 to 29, the 8GB/128GB variant will have a promo price of Php 6,999 at Xiaomi’s official global store in Lazada.
