ASUS has gone all-in with the ROG Phone 6 series, offering different variants and special edition models. We last saw their execution on the Batman Edition, and ASUS has an even swankier one with the Diablo Immortal Edition.
Being based on the 16GB/512GB variant of the ROG Phone 6, the Diablo Immortal Edition comes in a large box that’s filled with solid references to the popular and iconic role-playing game. To start things off, the huge box with iconic Diablo graphics is based on the Horadric Cube, a key item in the game that’ crucial in transmuting items–which will make more sense once you dig into the box.
Opening the main box reveals the packaging of the phone itself, which is designed after the Worldstone, an important item in the game that has a deep lore involving its immense power and utmost desirability by both angels and demons.
ASUS is an ace when it comes to executing special edition models, and the ROG Phone 6’s charger and USB cable come with their own leather case that has the map of the Sanctuary in the back.
The map itself has easter eggs, as using the included UV light–which has reference to the Fahir’s light–will reveal hidden details on the scroll.
The Fahir’s light can also be used on the specially-designed Aero case–which features a geometric relief of the teleport–to reveal hidden details as well.
Moving to the phone itself, the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition comes in a Hellfire Red colorway that has a special flame effect that changes based on how light hits the surface. Aside from the Diablo Immortal branding, you get custom graphics on the back panel that are on-brand with the game’s iconic game elements.
Like the Batman Edition, the Diablo Immortal Edition also gets a custom UI that’s on brand with the game’s design elements. These include custom wallpapers, icons, and even animations for the lockscreen and charging status.
Being a ROG Phone 6, you are getting the best internals for any gaming phone: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a gaming-grade 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 165hz refresh rate and 750hz touch response rate, Air triggers, a large 6000mAh battery, and a plethora of accessories to keep you ahead in the game.
