As COMPUTEX 2023 is warming up, ASUS unveiled one of its products that received the Best Choice award with the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD. From the photos alone, what captures everyone’s attention is that the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD has an insanely wide 49-inch Samsung QD-OLED panel that has a 5120×1440 resolution, a 144hz refresh rate, and an insanely fast 0.03ms response time.
This huge monitor has the usual ROG aesthetic that’s very prominent with the bold logo on the back. Making this huge monitor special is a custom display heatsink solution that makes use of graphene film to reduce burn-in problems and allows the Swift OLED PG49WCD to have a peak brightness of up to 1000nits.
Little is known about the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD, but reports reveal that the display has a 1800R curvature and that it supports adaptive variable refresh rates from both NVIDIA and AMD. As for port options, it will reportedly have DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with DP Alt mode and 90W power delivery, and HDMI 2.1 video connections.
As for other features, it is expected to have AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification, along with ASUS’ Uniform Brightness Feature to help maintain consistent brightness levels across the vast large area of the monitor.
